The M2-Exit Test
The M2-Exit road test evaluates numerous fine points of your riding technique in a variety of riding situations. The Ontario Ministry provides the grading standards, and specifies the following riding situations are to be included in the test: Curves Residential Freeway Roadside stops Lane changes Stop intersections Through intersections Left & right turn intersections You are graded riding your own motorcycle on real city streets, generally in West-end Ottawa. You will have a radio receiver in your helmet, and will be receiving instructions ("turn left at the next traffic light," "change lanes to the right," etc.) as you ride. Two instructors will be following you in a car - one to drive and the other to give you instructions and fill out the grading form as you execute your techniques. After the test, we will review your score with you, as this is an important source of information for your future riding improvement, whether you passed or not. If you pass, you will receive paperwork to take to a Licensing Centre, enabling you to be upgraded to a full M license. |
